District Energy C02 ASHP
May 2025
Through a partnership with Vitalis Extraction Technologies, UBC Okanagan has completed the installation of the largest CO2 air source heat pump in North America. At 1.5 megawatts, this heat pump will provide 30% of the campus’s total heating loads through the low-temperature district energy system and in doing so, will achieve a 30% reduction in total campus GHG emissions.
Arts Atrium
February 2025
The Arts Atrium is being transformed into a more inviting and functional study space for students. With refreshed furniture, upgraded lighting, and cozy seating surrounded by greenery, it will offer a comfortable spot for both focused study and casual connection.
Nonis Field – Turf Renewal
September 2024
Our team led the renewal of Nonis Field’s synthetic turf, replacing the original surface at the end of its service life with a new, high-performance artificial turf system to support continued safe and reliable athletic use.
Plant Growth Facility
Completed 2023
The long-awaited greenhouse facility was built to support plant-microbe interactions; plant-insect interactions; and plant chemistry research on campus. It is also a strategic facility for the campus to foster both disciplinary and interdisciplinary teaching.
Arts Foyer
Completed 2022
A renovation and enhancement to ART 190T (Arts Foyer) and ART 190 (Quiet Corridor) was designed to increase the amount of informal learning spaces on campus. This provided a much needed refresh for the space.
Gym Office Expansion
Completed 2021
The Gym received a much anticipated expansion and upgrade to their existing offices. The existing flat roof was utilized to create an open plan office with private interview rooms for staff and students.
